Difference between vortex flowmeter and turbine flowmeter

Vortex flowmeters are also known as vortex flowmeters. What is the difference between the use of vortex flowmeter and turbine flowmeter:

 

1. Different design principles

Turbine flowmeter focuses on the measurement of liquid, belongs to the velocity type flow meter, the principle is to use the relationship between the rotation angular speed of the impeller placed in the liquid and the liquid flow rate, by measuring the speed of the impeller to calculate the size of the liquid flow.

Vortex flowmeter is designed and manufactured according to Karman vortex principle. When the fluid passes through the vortex flow transmitter in the pipeline, two rows of vortices directly proportional to the velocity are generated alternately behind the vortex generator in the triangular column. The release frequency of the vortices is related to the average velocity of the fluid flowing through the vortex generator and the characteristics of the vortex generator.

 

2, The application range is different

Vortex flowmeter is mainly used for the flow measurement of industrial pipeline medium fluids, such as gas, liquid, vapor and other media.

Turbine flowmeters are widely used in the following measurement objects: petroleum, organic liquid, inorganic liquid, low viscosity clean liquid, etc.

 

3. Different characteristics

Turbine flowmeter has simple structure, fewer processing parts, light weight, easy maintenance, large flow capacity (the same caliber can pass large flow) and can adapt to high parameters (high temperature, high pressure and low temperature).

Vortex flowmeter is characterized by small pressure loss, large range, high accuracy, and is almost not affected by fluid density, pressure, temperature, viscosity and other parameters when measuring volume flow under working conditions. There are no moving mechanical parts, so the reliability is high and the maintenance is small. The instrument parameters can be stable for a long time.
